Disable Google Handwriting Input suggestions
I would like to turn off the suggestions provided by the Google Handwriting Input. I have tried setting the EditText inputType through xml and code, but neither seem to be working:
<EditText
android:inputType="textNoSuggestions|textVisiblePassword"
/>
myEditText.setInputType(InputType.TYPE_TEXT_FLAG_NO_SUGGESTIONS | InputType.TYPE_TEXT_VARIATION_VISIBLE_PASSWORD);
Is there any other way to programmatically turn off the suggestions?
Context: I'm working on an app that tests users on their handwriting abilities, which prompts (and validates) users to install and use the Google Handwriting Input.
