Heike Rimbeau (née Landvogt; born April 17, 1959) is a German disco singer, known for being a member of the German disco trio, Arabesque.
Life
Rimbeau began as a singer in the German group, Anyone Exact in 1976.[1] She was 16 years old. By 1978, she worked at the Steigenberger-Konzern Hotel at Frankfurt am Main Airport, as a clerk. She was chosen by Young Star Records to be part of the Arabesque in September 1978, after the departure of Mary Ann Nagel.[2] She was the lead singer in Arabesque, recording Friday Night in November 1978. By January 1979, Rimbeau was married and pregnant.[3] She was forced to leave Arabesque, and gave her final performance on March 26, 1979 on the Disco show on ZDF.[4] Shortly afterwards, Sandra Ann Lauer became the lead singer in Arabesque.[5]
