How can I style and/or disable footpaths/walkways/sidewalks/pedestrian paths?
I am working on a project to create an assistive technology for the visually impaired/blind. I've selected the Google Maps Static API because it allows me to fetch images.
For this project, it's important the images display only streets. Disabling most of the extra elements was easy, but I'm stuck on footpaths/walkways/sidewalks/pedestrian paths. (I'm also unsure the correct term for these). As an example, I'm talking about the green lines in the image below:
A map of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA, displaying only streets and footpaths
They can be styled as part of roads.local
and disappear at lower zoom
s. However, neither of these solutions works for my use case.
So, how do I style only these paths?
