Google AMP page cache and geo-targeting

We currently have a blog that displays certain content based on the state that user lives in. However, when someone visits our AMP site, Google serves them up the cached version of that page (which is not in the correct state).

The amp-geo component only works for country codes, not USA states.

Any idea on how I can display the correct state-by-state geo data on my AMP pages?
