VBS running Userform issue
I have a VBS that downloads an .xlsm file from a server and opens it.
When the .xlsm file opens, it shows a UserForm.
When I run a button on this UserForm it should fill a ComboBox, but instead of working properly the whole UserForm shuts down.
When I run the downloaded .xlsm file manually it works properly.
What can be the issue?
Here is my VBS
strFileURL = "xxx/Tool.xlsm"
strHDLocation = "C:WorkTestingTool.xlsm"
' Fetch the file
Set objXMLHTTP = CreateObject("MSXML2.XMLHTTP")
objXMLHTTP.open "GET", strFileURL, false
objXMLHTTP.send()
If objXMLHTTP.Status = 200 Then
Set objADOStream = CreateObject("ADODB.Stream")
objADOStream.Open
objADOStream.Type = 1 'adTypeBinary
objADOStream.Write objXMLHTTP.ResponseBody
objADOStream.Position = 0 'Set the stream position to the start
Set objFSO = Createobject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
If objFSO.Fileexists(strHDLocation) Then objFSO.DeleteFile strHDLocation
Set objFSO = Nothing
objADOStream.SaveToFile strHDLocation
objADOStream.Close
Set objADOStream = Nothing
End if
Set objXMLHTTP = Nothing
Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
Set objWorkbook = objExcel.Workbooks.Open(strHDLocation)
This is what happens when I open the .xlsm file:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Site.Show vbModeless
End Sub
excel vba vbscript userform

Do you have error reporting on so it reports errors thrown in Excel's VBA?
