Python matplotlib scatterplot looks messy
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
Hey guys i was simply trying to plot a dataset using matplotlib.pyplot, however the plot looks tedious and messy and is not what I expected it to be. I am pretty new to using graphs on python, so anyone know what is wrong? Basically the x and y axis looks stuffed, presenting ALL the x and y list data.
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
inFile_name = 'ex1data1.txt'
inFile = open(inFile_name, 'r')
population =
profit =
count = 0
for line in inFile:
line.strip()
(pop_d, pro_d) = line.split(',')
population.append(pop_d)
profit.append(pro_d)
plt.scatter(population, profit)
plt.xlabel('population')
plt.ylabel('profit')
plt.title('MLexercise')
plt.show()
print(profit)
enter image description here
