Norman Jason "Norm" Hewitt (Ngati Kahungunu, Ngati Tuwharetoa, Ngati Pakeha[1]) is a former New Zealand All Black rugby union player. He was selected for the New Zealand team because of his fantastic performance in Hawkes Bay's surprise victory over the British Lions in 1993. In 1997 while playing for New Zealand against England Hewitt was confronted during his side's haka (a traditional Maori war dance) by his English counterpart Richard Cockerill, during the latter's first start for his country.

He made a dramatic public apology after a drunken incident in 1998,[2] and thereafter became an outspoken advocate of changing drinking habits.

Hewitt participated in, and won, season one of Dancing with the Stars in 2005.[3] He donated his winnings to literacy charity Duffy Books in Homes.[4] He is now associated with Rangikura School, a primary school in Porirua, Wellington.
