I implemented a MBean using examples like this one (https://www.baeldung.com/java-management-extensions).

I want to be able to disable / destroy another bean (e.g. MyAnotherBean) at run time through JConsole.

Below is the method from MBean that handles the destroy function.
I am able to invoke this method correctly in the JConsole UI but it seemed the bean is still active.
Please let me how I should handle this case.

Case 1

I use MyAnotherBean class implements DisposableBean.
I implemented the destroy() method in that class.

public void destroy() {

    System.out.println("Perform destructive work or release resources.");

} 

Case 2 - Step 1

I used SingletonBeanRegistry to register this MyAnotherBean bean when it was created.

public MyAnotherBean listener() {

        MyAnotherBean myAnotherBean= new MyAnotherBean ();

        AutowireCapableBeanFactory beanFactory = context.getAutowireCapableBeanFactory();

        SingletonBeanRegistry beanDefinitionRegistry = (SingletonBeanRegistry) beanFactory;

        beanDefinitionRegistry.registerSingleton("MyAnotherBean", MyAnotherBean);



        return myAnotherBean;

      }

Case 2 - Step 2
In the MBean class I tried two ways to destroy this bean.

The first way I tried was:

MyAnotherBean testBean = (MyAnotherBean)context.getBean("MyAnotherBean");

((DefaultListableBeanFactory)(context.getAutowireCapableBeanFactory())).destroyBean(testBean);

But this same bean instance can still be retrieved after this line of code.
The second way I tried is

AutowireCapableBeanFactory beanFactory = context.getAutowireCapableBeanFactory();

beanFactory.destroyBean(testBean);

I can see the destroy() method was called since the println() message was printed to the console.

But again this same bean instance can still be retrieved after this line of code.

I also tried two other methods where I needed to pass in the name of the bean as a string.

I made sure the string MyAnotherBean matched the same string when this bean was originally registered.

AutowireCapableBeanFactory beanFactory = context.getAutowireCapableBeanFactory();

      ((BeanDefinitionRegistry) beanFactory).removeBeanDefinition("MyAnotherBean ");

or

AutowireCapableBeanFactory beanFactory = context.getAutowireCapableBeanFactory();

      ((DefaultListableBeanFactory) beanFactory).destroySingleton("MyAnotherBean");

However, if I pass in the name of the class as a string then I always got the following error when I tried to invoke this destroy code.

problem invoking MyAnotherBean: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error unmarshaling return: nested exception is:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException(no
security manager:RMI class loader disabled)

Please let me know the correct steps / beanFactory / function I should use to destroy a bean at run time.
