Can I get colours with var_dump in the bash?

I develop with Symfony 4, php7.2, activated xdebug on Ubuntu 18.04.
For debugging in my phpUnit tests I like to use var_dump since it also tells me from which file and line the output is originating.
Symfony has this nice Class VarDumper, which creates a colourful output, but is silent about where it comes from. You can also not add the information to the output and have to include a use statement in each class, where you want to use it.
Is there a possibility to have both combined?
Colours to make it better readable and the source of the debug output?
I am talking about the bash output, not about the browser like here:
PHP: Colors in var_dump (Ubuntu)
ubuntu-18.04 php-7.2 var-dump
