Angular 2+ animation with ngIf and additional parameters

0

I want to build a slideshow, and the slides a toggled via *ngIf and a index var in my component (index var is set my forward/backward button) - easy.
The animation for this, easy:

trigger("slideInOut", [
transition(":enter", [
style({ transform: "translateX(+100%)", position: "absolute" }),
animate("400ms ease-in", style({ transform: "translateX(0%)" }))
]),
transition(":leave", [
style({ transform: "translateX(0%)"}),
animate("400ms ease-out", style({ transform: "translateX(-100%)" }))
])
])

and in the template, something like this:

<div class="slide" *ngIf="slideIndex === 0" [@slideInOut]>

and so on.
But now I want to change the animation regarding the direction (left/right) of the slide show, means: forward, backward - > use +/-100% in translateX etc.
In my component I have an var direction which has 'left' or 'right' depending in the direction, but I don't know how to pass this to the animation and still use leave/enter also.
Any idea?

EDIT, figured it out:
see tutorial here

trigger("slideInOut", [
transition("void => prev", [
style({ transform: "translateX(-100%)", position: "absolute", top: 0, opacity: 0 }),
animate("300ms ease-in", style({ transform: "translateX(0%)", opacity: 1 }))
]),
transition("prev => void", [
animate("300ms ease-out", style({ transform: "translateX(+100%)", opacity: 0 }))
]),
transition("void => next", [
style({ transform: "translateX(+100%)", position: "absolute", top: 0, opacity: 0 }),
animate("300ms ease-in", style({ transform: "translateX(0%)", opacity: 1 }))
]),
transition("next => void", [
animate("300ms ease-out", style({ transform: "translateX(-100%)", opacity: 0 }))
])
])

and

[@slideInOut]="orientation"

will do the job. 'orientation' is a var in the component, and the next and prev buttons toggle its state 'next'/'prev'
