How to attach and deattch the PagedListAdapter?
I'm trying to implement a search feature in my app. In my MainActivity, I'm displaying the records that are coming from the database using this:
MovieViewModel model = ViewModelProviders.of(this).get(MovieViewModel.class);
MovieAdapter adapter = new MovieAdapter(this);
model.moviePagedList.observe(this, adapter::submitList);
recyclerView.setAdapter(adapter);
My adapter class extends:
class MovieAdapter extends PagedListAdapter<ApiResponse.Movie, MovieAdapter.MovieViewHolder> {}
And everything works fine. Now I have added a SearchView and I'm listening when user is typing something in the EditText. What I'm doing, is to use the same lines of code in the onQueryTextChange, method but nothing happens.
If I'm using adapter.notifyDataSetChanged(); makes no change, the adaper is not refreshed. How to deattach and reattach the adaper?
