Using AWS Cognito locally

I have a rails app and i am trying to integrate aws cognito. The thing is, during the integration process, cognito asks for a domain name several times.
My domain name is not created yet so i would like to integrate it in development mode, meaning locally.
Is there anyone who knows if aws provides a way to a local integration?

  • Are you using the amplify CLI?

  • You'll need to add a domain name in the Amazon Cognito console to use the User Pool endpoint, and kindly note that the User Pool endpoint is a public endpoint, and it needs Internet access for authentication. You can use the Cognito SDKs(aws-amplify/auth) to ensure your application attributes can interact with Cognito endpoints to deliver the needed functionality.
