Send Notifications to hybrid Mobile App in Ionic 1
I am using hybrid mobile app with ionic 1.0.I am trying to show notifications for the user via notification bar just like whatsapp and other apps.But i have no idea on how to do this.I searched in internet for notifications for hybrid mobile app.Everywhere i saw some FCM push notifications related to firebase.But i didnt understand how it works.
Right now what i am doing in my app is it is displaying ionic popup if i open the app only.I am able to send message to particular device using deviceId.But i want that popup message as a notification to mobile whenever user turns wifi on or enables mobile data.
Here is my code.
$scope.testing = function()
{
if(ionic.Platform.isAndroid()){
$scope.deviceId = $cordovaDevice.getUUID();
}else{
console.log("not android");
}
if($scope.deviceId!=''){
$http({
method : 'POST',
url :
'https://myproject.com/getReportImmediateMessageForMobile?
deviceId='+$scope.deviceId,
transformResponse: function(response)
{
return response;
}
}).then(function success(data) {
$scope.reportImmediate = data.data;
if($scope.reportImmediate!=''){
var alertPopup = $ionicPopup.alert({
title: 'Report Immediately!',
template: $scope.reportImmediate
});
}
});
}
After that i am calling interval for 5 seconds to keep checking whether that user with his deviceId received any message or not like this
$interval(function(){$scope.testing();}, 5000);
Can anyone tell how to send the message as notification based on deviceId to particular device whenever user gets access to internet connectivity?At present it is working only if i open the app.
