cordova camera plugin not loading picture

I am trying to get a pictura using the cordova camera plugin.
This is the code I have so far.
$scope.adjuntarFoto = function(){
// Retrieve image file location from specified source
navigator.camera.getPicture(onCapturePhotoSuccess, onCapturePhotoError,{quality: 80,
destinationType: Camera.DestinationType.FILE_URI,
sourceType: Camera.PictureSourceType.SAVEDPHOTOALBUM
});
}
function onCapturePhotoSuccess(imageURI)
{
console.log(imageURI);
var smallImage = document.getElementById('id_for_setting_pic_somewhere_in_html');
smallImage.src = "data:image/jpeg;base64," + imageURI;
console.log(smallImage);
}
function onCapturePhotoError(message)
{
console.log('Captured Failed because: ' + message);
}
When I click in the button that calls the function adjuntarFoto it opens some menu asking which app i'd like to use to select the photo, but at the same time I get this output in the console Captured Failed because: No Image Selected that is the output from the onCapturePhotoError, and later on I select the picture but nothing happens, I thought I would get something with this console.log(imageURI); If anybody can give me a hand or a clue on what I am doing wrong, thanks in advance.
