Search Method in java google spreadsheet api
I have created a search method for my edit spreadsheet class that searches for a word in the spreadsheet which I have been able to do. However, I am having trouble with taking this result and editing it now that I have found it. Is there any way I can make a variable that takes the result and implement it so I can change it or is there a way I can find the cell location and edit it using the location? I am using Java Google API v4. Thanks in advance and here is the code I have so far.
List<List<Object>> values = response.getValues();
if (values == null || values.isEmpty()) {
System.out.println("No data found.");
} else {
Boolean found = false;
for (List row : values) {
Iterator elem = row.iterator();
while (elem.hasNext()) {
if(compare.equalsIgnoreCase((java.lang.String) elem.next())){
System.out.println(response.getRange());
System.out.println("Item found "+ (elem));
found = true
}
}
}
if (found == false){
System.out.println("Not found");
