Select not working after deselect all in Bootstrap select picker
I have a selectpicker with a "All" selected value by default:
<select class="selectpicker form-control" title="Secteur" data-live-search="true" multiple id="sectorlist">
<option selected value="*">All</option>
<optgroup label="Region 1">
<option value="2">Diffa</option>
<option value="3">Dosso</option>
</optgroup>
<optgroup label="Region 2">
<option value="4">Maradi</option>
<option value="5">Niamey</option>
</optgroup>
</select>
First Question:
I want that when the user click on an other select option, the "All" option set unselected automatically. But there is no documentation of how trigger an unselection.
2nd Question:
I want that when the user click on "All" after he selected other options, all options gets unselected and then just reselect the "All" value, like a reset of the selectpicker.
According to the documentation, i wrote this code but it's not working for the 2nd step and i don't know what to do for my first question.
$('#sectorlist').on('changed.bs.select', function (e, clickedIndex, isSelected, previousValue) {
if (clickedIndex !== 0) {
//User clicked on other option and I want to deselect the "All" value
}
if (clickedIndex === 0 && isSelected) {
//I want to deselect all other options and then select the "All" value
$('#sectorlist').selectpicker('deselectAll');
$("#sectorlist").val('*');
}
});
Can someone help me on this?
Thank you in advance!
