Capturing dynamic date and timestamp of a table column which is not the system date and time
I have a table which has five columns.The first column has the date & timestamp in the following format: Oct 30, 2018 7:08:57 PM and this is not the system date & timestamp. How can I capture this dynamic date & timestamp and pass it in my method which I am calling in a test class using TestNG framework.Please find my code below:
public boolean verifyPartHistoryPage(String action, String partDescription)
throws InterruptedException
try {
WebElement table =driver.findElement(By.xpath("//form[@name='objectHistory']/table[@class='list']"));
List<WebElement> listOfRows = table.findElements(By.tagName("tr"));
System.out.println("Rows: " + listOfRows.size());
for (int i = 0; i <= listOfRows.size(); i++) {
try {
List<WebElement> columns = driver.findElement(By.xpath("//form[@name='objectHistory']/table[@class='list']/tbody/tr["+ Integer.toString(i + 1) + "]")).findElements(By.tagName("td"));
for (int j = 0; j < columns.size(); j++) {
String columnVal = columns.get(j).getText();
if (columnVal.equals(action) && columnVal.equals(partDescription)) {
result = true;
break;
}
}
if (result == true) {
break;
}
} catch (NoSuchElementException e) {
result = false;
}
}
} catch (NoSuchElementException e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e);
result = false;
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e);
result = false;
}
return result;
}
