javamail1.6.2 trying to connect host failed
We have a j2ee project, which used javamail (1.6.2) tool, when we disploy it on customer's DMZ server, it can not send out email, it always show bellow info:
DEBUG SMTP: useEhlo true, useAuth true
DEBUG SMTP: trying to connect to host "mailhostint.roche.com", port 25, isSSL false
but we test 'telnet mailhostint.roche.com 25' command, it's ok;
and we also test smtp.exmail.qq.com with qq email , it also works well at local, once we disploy them on customer's DMZ server, it always show "trying to connect to host...",
but it is strange that we can also use "telent smtp.exmail.qq.com 25" to connect the smtp server.
so, how can i to find the root cause? thanks a lots.

Are you using telnet on the DMZ server where JavaMail is running? If so, then most likely there's a local firewall rule that's preventing the JavaMail application from connecting while allowing telnet to connect.
